We're a group of current students in Georgia Tech's Online Master of Science in Analytics (OMSA) program. We've banded together as like-minded individuals from the broader OMSA community, united by a passion for supporting each other and a commitment to upholding Georgia Tech's honor code. This website and application? That was born from a group project for CSE-6242: Data & Visual Analytics. Our goal was to really push the envelope with what we'd learned in our previous courses, and to harness our diverse and interesting skills to build something that could truly showcase the power of modularity in tackling tough data science challenges. To maximize efficiency, we structured ourselves into three equally important sub-teams: Machine Learning, Frontend, and Backend. The table below provides more detailed descriptions. Our individual members
Machine Learning & Data Cleansing:
Andrea Wackerle - The Red Beans Viber
Andrea likes her trails forested and her food interesting. Raised on the comforting classics of Puerto Rican cuisine, especially red beans and rice, she’s since traded routine for discovery, flavor-wise and otherwise. Hiking clears her head, food keeps things fun, and learning is the constant thread. No fuss, just good vibes, good eats, and the occasional escape into the woods.
Casey Chan - The Hike-and-Bite Specialist
Casey stays active, not out of some deep motivation, but because sitting still gets boring. She’s hiked trails, kicked some pads, and probably signed up for a Pilates class on a whim. Food is the actual goal; comfort food, weird food, food that might come with a side of regret. Sushi Con 2025? Already on her radar. Also likes thrifting, but only in NYC. Everywhere else doesn’t make the cut.
Orm Suwannakul - The Existential Carb
Orm identifies with potatoes: low-key, versatile, and usually underappreciated. They’re not the main event, but things fall apart without them. Cooking and baking are go-to hobbies; mostly because it's fun to make stuff, and snacks are a decent reward. Cheese and milk tea are non-negotiables! She also enjoys building IKEA furniture, for some reason. It’s all just mildly chaotic zen with a side of sugar and screws.
Front-end, D3, & Integration:
Mark Iken - The Unbothered Fixer
Adventure eating isn’t necessarily Mark’s passion, it’s just how things ended up. Rules in the kitchen? Mostly ignored. If it tastes good, it works - garden veggies, Grandma’s Lefsa, or whatever BBQ joint looks halfway decent. Mark kicks it with fusion food, not because it’s trendy, but because it’s more interesting than following instructions. When not chewing through the food chain, Mark can usually be found fixing something, electronics, plumbing, diesel engines, because no one else will.
Kyara Rafferty - The Bibimbap Backpacker
Kyara’s taste buds live life on hard mode: bold, vibrant, and never boring. Korean BBQ? Yes. Sushi? Obviously. Greek food? Pass the tzatziki, please. She’s basically a walking, snackingpassport. When she’s not daydreaming about her next meal, you’ll find her hiking with her puppy, Googling flight deals she might actually book, or diving headfirst into a brand-new hobby because "why not?" If it involves good food, good vibes, or a scenic overlook, Kyara’s already there.
Authoring, Infrastructure, & Drupal:
Anh Clerkin – The Culinary Commitment Problem
Anh doesn’t just love food, she has a borderline romantic relationship with it - Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean, or anything with a flavor profile so complex it needs its own mood board. Cooking, eating, watching other people cook or eat… if food is involved, she is spiritually present. A certified hobby hopper, she’s dabbled in everything from plant parenting to chaotic scrapbooking, to decorative rearranging. If it’s hands-on, vaguely artistic, or edible, she’s already elbows-deep in it.
Thomas Howell - The Mid-Tier Maestro
Thomas is a self-proclaimed vegetarian food lover who can’t cook his way out of a paper back with hole on each end, nor a foodie, but someone who appreciates a good, flavorful meal without the frills. He keeps it simple, savoring mid-tier restaurant gems while firmly steering clear of the kitchen. Off the plate, Thomas is a collector of all things quirky: board games, video games, books, and sounds. He’s an electronic music composer with a knack for mixing beats and backstories. Basically, he's what happens when a chill wizard meets a Spotify algorithm.
